Feral hogs are growing in population so fast that they are damaging natural ecosystems, destroying farm land and causing bacterial diseases in other animals and people which are exposed to their feces, blood, or urine. The USDA consider's feral hogs as an invasive species and as a result there are less rules for hunting hogs than there are for other wild game.
